Lana Del Rey says Jack Antonoff inspired her to wed “honest” Jeremy Dufrene: “He’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married”
Lana Del Rey has opened up about her recent marriage, and said that the move was inspired by producer and collaborator Jack Antonoff. The singer made headlines earlier this year when rumours emerged that she had tied the knot in September – reportedly marrying alligator tour boat guide Jeremy Dufrene.Speculation about the two began after the singer was seen holding hands with Dufrene at Reading Festival 2024, and on September 26, the Mail Online claimed that the two got married at a ceremony in Des Allemands, Louisiana – reportedly on the same bayou where Dufrene operates his swamp boat tours. The outlet later published a series of photographs and video footage from the event, where Del Rey’s father Rob Grant was seen walking her down the aisle, and the news was confirmed in October when the couple’s marriage license was signed and returned to Louisiana’s Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court. Now, Del Rey has spoken about the decision to get married while at the Variety Hitmakers ceremony over the weekend, and confirmed that it was inspired by Jack Antonoff. While presenting the Bleachers frontman and producer with the Producer Of The Decade award on Saturday (December 7), the singer said that it was Antonoff’s marriage to actor Margaret Qualley that pushed her to wait for the right person to settle down with.Lana Del Rey says Jack Antonoff is a "big reason why I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband.

The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser shares solo single ‘This Side Of The Island’, announces intimate London and US shows
The Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser has shared a new solo single ‘This Side Of The Island’, and announced a run of intimate live shows. The anthemic track serves as the first preview of the singer-songwriter’s upcoming EP, which is expected to arrive at some point next year.Co-produced by Leithauser, Aaron Dessner (The National) and his wife Anna Stumpf, the reflective and bittersweet song showcases the artist’s “unrelenting optimism and biting humour amongst a polarised social and political world”.“This Side Of The Island’ is a song about disillusionment, acceptance and resolve,” he explained.“The foundation of the far lower east side of Manhattan where I used to live was actually constructed out of garbage from the 1600s all the way up to the 1970s – a decent metaphor for the fundamentally-flawed relationship I was in when I lived there; and more broadly, for the modern collective identity of the United States.”Leithauser continued: “In the last decade, I think our country has more publicly and flagrantly revealed its true colours – an ugly side that was always there, but has now transformed our mainstream character. But there are still great people, great ideas, and great accomplishments all around us, and it is important not to lose sight of that.“Sometimes when I see what I consider to be things barrelling in the wrong direction, I feel totally helpless.

Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs by Alan McGee is going up for auction. As BBC News reports, the instrument is one of four pianos given to Bonehead in 1996 by McGee – the latter of whom signed the Britpop band after discovering them in 1993.The instrument – an E108 walnut Yamaha – is expected to bring £8,000-10,000 in an online auction at 12pm GMT today (December 10), and will come with a letter of authenticity signed by Arthurs. It was specifically chosen for Arthurs by Creation Records boss McGee.Sean McIlroy, director of Piano Auctions Ltd, explained: “As far as we are aware this is the first one of the four pianos gifted by Alan McGee to Oasis to come up at auction.“What makes it exciting is that Bonehead and possibly other band members will have played out elements of their songs on this piano, and now Oasis fans and collectors can try their hands on the same keys.”He added: “I can imagine that there will be a few Oasis and music fans who would love this piano as a Christmas present, but they will need quite deep pockets.”Arthurs, who co-founded Oasis, played on some of the group’s biggest albums – their 1994 debut ‘Definitely Maybe’, as well as ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ (1995) and ‘Be Here Now’ (1997).The musician departed the band in 1999, but is rumoured to be joining Oasis on their huge reunion tour next year. He has played in Liam Gallagher‘s live solo band as well.Other rumoured members for Oasis Live ’25 include guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell.
