Jim Sclavunos, the drummer from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, has shared a solo cover of Bob Dylan‘s ‘Lay Down Your Weary Tune’ with The National‘s Scott Devendorf. Check out the charity single below, along with our interview with the musician.The Bad Seeds drummer’s second solo release, following from last year’s ‘Holiday Song’ to benefit the Music Venue Trust, sees Sclavunos team up with Devendorf on bass and Dave Sherman (Valerie June, Nicole Atkins) on piano – with all money raised from the BandCamp sales going to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal and Ellis Park Wildlife Sanctuary.

Nick Cave is set to share a global stream of one of his shows in Europe last year.Titled Wild God – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Live In Paris, the stream is set to show Cave’s full live show from his recently completed number of UK and European tour dates.The footage was captured at the music icon’s show at the Accor Arena in the French Capital last November, and marked the final date of the band’s extensive European tour. The dates ran across the latter half of 2024, and saw Cave celebrate the release of his latest album ‘Wild God’.It included a career-spanning set that included classics such as ‘The Weeping Song’ and ‘Red Right Hand’, as well as numerous tracks from the tracklist of the latest LP.“With Cave’s electrifying stage presence and a powerful band featuring Warren Ellis, George Vjestica, Colin Greenwood, Jim Sclavunos, Carly Paradis and Larry Mullins, plus a four-piece gospel-inspired vocal section (Wendi Rose, T Jae Cole, Miça Townsend and Janet Ramus), Nick Cave led a high-intensity, emotionally charged performance in front of 20,000 fans,” reads a description.It will be available to stream worldwide (barring North America) on April 7 via the ARTE Concert YouTube channel and ARTE.tv.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have shared a live concert on the 10 year anniversary of their album ‘Push The Sky Away.’The band performed tracks from the record at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre on February 21, 2013. Three days earlier the album was released.For a limited time the band are allowing fans to stream the concert, watch a performance of ‘Mermaids’ from the show and a video showing how the album was made.

Secret Machines have announced a new EP titled ‘Day 21’ alongside a reissue of their 2008 EP ‘Dreaming Of Dreaming’ featuring a track with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds‘ Jim Sclavunos.The duo of Brandon Curtis and Josh Garza have announced that both EPs will be released on July 15. They’ve also released the title track from the ‘Day 21’ EP and ‘Dreaming of Dreaming (Mavrogeorgis and Sclavunos Version)’ from the reissue.Per Stereogum, Curtis said in a statement that ‘Day 21’ was “a bit of a departure” for the band.
