Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory have released the latest taste of their upcoming album, in the form of ‘Southern Life (What It Must Be Like)’.The group will release their self-titled debut album on February 7 via Jagjaguwar, with singer-songwriter Van Etten joining forces with her band – comprised of Jorge Balbi (drums, machines), Devra Hoff (bass, vocals), and Teeny Lieberson (synth, piano, guitar, vocals).Now, they have given fans another preview of the record with the trippy, swampy, synth-driven ‘Southern Life (What It Must Be Like)’, a powerful psych-rock jam that shows off the band’s skills. Arctic Monkeys and Oasis are the UK’s top indie bands on Spotify Wrapped 2024, NME can exclusively reveal.The list of the most streamed indie acts on Spotify this year is largely comprised of long-standing names as fans have indulged their sense of nostalgia. Arctic Monkeys and the recently reformed Oasis have taken the top spots, with The Smiths following close behind at Number Three. Sports Team have been robbed at gunpoint in California after arriving in the States for their US tour.The Cambridge band were robbed at roughly 9am PST (5pm GMT) in Vallejo, CA, outside of San Francisco.
