nme.comArctic Monkeys and Oasis are the UK’s top indie bands on Spotify Wrapped 2024, NME can exclusively reveal.The list of the most streamed indie acts on Spotify this year is largely comprised of long-standing names as fans have indulged their sense of nostalgia.
Arctic Monkeys and the recently reformed Oasis have taken the top spots, with The Smiths following close behind at Number Three.
Radiohead and Gorillaz round out the top five.Four out of the top five most streamed indie songs in the UK were Arctic Monkeys songs.
These are, in order, ‘I Wanna Be Yours’, ‘505’, ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’ and ‘Do I Wanna Know’. Radiohead also made the top five with ‘Creep’.Check out the full list below.1.
