Superman fans are “super disappointed” with new suit worn by David Corenswet

Superman fans have been sharing their “disappointment” at early images of the character’s new suit, as worn by actor David Corenswet. The film, now simply titled Superman after having initially been named Superman: Legacy, is set to arrive in July 2025 as the launch movie of the latest version of the DC Universe.Helmed by Guardians Of The Galaxy’s James Gunn – who is now the co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran – Superman will also star Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and more. The first look at Corenswet as Superman came last month when director James Gunn shared a picture on social media of the actor in costume. In the picture, Corenswet is seen wearing the iconic red and blue Superman suit, albeit with changes to its logo and seemingly the return of the Kryptonian’s iconic red briefs. It also includes an ominous beam firing behind Superman.A post shared by James Gunn (@jamesgunn)Further images have now been shared, and fans on social media have not been slowing in sharing their hesitations about the new design of the iconic Superman suit.“I love & support David Corenswet’s casting as the Superman but I am super disappointed in the suit,” wrote one X user.

‘Gotham Knights’ has been cancelled after one season
Gotham Knights has been cancelled after just one season. The DC Comics-based drama was one of three scripted CW series which were facing the axe along with Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming, which have both been renewed.Despite being a “respectable ratings performer” since it was premiered in March, the show has now been cancelled, according to Deadline. It is believed that under different circumstances, the show could have made it to a second season but, with the business model of the CW changing under its new ownership, only a handful of existing scripted series could make the cut.Gotham Knights, which was written by the Batwoman trio of Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, picked up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his rebellious adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forging an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies – Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara) when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.A synopsis for the show, when it was first announced, added: “As the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names.
