Drew Barrymore drops out as MTV Movie & TV Awards host days before show

It’s not known yet if any other talent will pull out, Variety reported.Barrymore has agreed to return to host the 2024 awards and is expected to appear in the pre-recorded segments in Sunday’s show.In a statement, Barrymore, 48, said has decided not to host out of respect for the writers.“I have listened to the writers, and in order to truly respect them, I will pivot from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards live in solidarity with the strike,” the statement read.
