Harrison Ford steps down as presenter at 2025 Oscars after shingles diagnosis
Entertainment Weekly first reported.Ford, who was announced as one of the show’s presenters on Wednesday, is doing okay and resting after the diagnosis, the outlet reported. The Mayo Clinic describes shingles as a non-life-threatening viral infection that causes a painful rash.Shingles occurs years after a person gets the varicella-zoster virus, which is the same virus that causes chickenpox. After a person recovers from chickenpox, the virus hides in their nerves and can reactivate as shingles later in life.On Feb. 23, Ford appeared to be in good spirits when he was spotted at the Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside his “Shrinking” castmates. In a clip from the ceremony, he jokingly interrupted the opening introduction of his co-star Jessica Williams and received a big laugh from the audience.Ford was nominated for outstanding performance by a male actor for the comedy series about a blunt, grieving therapist but lost the SAG Award to Martin Short, who stars in the Hulu hit series “Only Murders in the Building.”“Shrinking” was also nominated for the SAG Award’s best ensemble in a comedy series but the show, once again, lost to “Only Murders in the Building.”The “Star Wars” star was newly announced to present at the Academy Awards with stars like Gal Gadot, Andrew Garfield, Samuel L.

Timothée Chalamet gets a lookalike cookie at Manhattan bakery
Funny Face Bakery is serving up sugar cookies that look just like the Hell’s Kitchen native, who is nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown.”They named it the “Freewheelin’ Heartthrob,” a nod to the title of Dylan’s second album, “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan,” whose cover famously features the singer and his girlfriend Suze Rotolo, played in the film by Elle Fanning, walking arm in arm on Jones Street in the West Village.Janelle Morillo, who was friends with Chalamet at LaGuardia High School, from which they graduated in 2013, loved seeing the sugary replica, which retails for $15.“This is both amazing and hilarious,” she told The Post.“I’m very happy he’s being recognized and celebrated because he has dedicated his life to his art and he truly deserves it.”The out-of-the-box bakery — which has two locations, one on Lafayette Street in NoHo and the other on Fulton Street in the Seaport — also handed out the sweet treats at the Chalamet lookalike contest, held in Washington Square Park on Oct. 27, where the actor made an appearance. The 29-year-old actor, who received his first Academy Award nomination at 22 for “Call Me by Your Name,” has another connection to the bakery — his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s mother was its first celebrity customer.“In our early days, Kris Jenner helped put us on the map when we gifted cookies to all of her grandkids,” said Funny Face’s head of growth Olivia Nickel.“We were even featured in the final moments of the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ series finale.

Oscar predictions 2025: Who will win vs. who should win this year
Will Win, Should Win: “Anora”The sensational stripper Cinderella story has won a convincing combo of lead-up prizes: The Cannes Palme d’Or, Producers Guild, Directors Guild, Writers Guild and Critics Choice. Possible upset “Conclave,” about the election of a new pope, took the BAFTA and SAG, yes, but it’s the colder, thinkier movie of the two. Will Win: Demi Moore, “The Substance”In recent years, the Oscars have loved feel-good career awards. Think Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Fraser. This would be 62-year-old Moore’s first Oscar ever, and she hasn’t been shy about that. The one thing going against G.I. Jane is the divisiveness of her body-horror flick. That could swing it to Madison or even Torres.Should Win: Mikey Madison, “Anora”The 25-year-old phenom is pure magic in a performance that, while surrounded by superb actors, carries the movie of the year. Will Win, Should Win: Timothée Chalamet, “A Complete Unknown“The 29-year-old actor winning the SAG Award felt like a big deal. Eighteen of the last 20 have gone on to win the Oscar. Yes, the also-excellent Adrien Brody of “The Brutalist” has gobbled up everything else, but those honors have been from critics and overseas voters (the Globes are more pinky-out than ever). It’s a toss-up, but I can’t help but feel that the 80% domestic Academy voters are somewhat indifferent to Brody’s movie. Will Win, Should Win: Zoe Saldana, “Emilia Pérez”“Emilia Pérez” has been hit by controversy after controversy. But well-liked Saldana has kept winning regardless. She gives an intense and deeply felt turn as a lawyer whisked on a musical (and soap-operatic) journey. Will Win, Should Win: Kieran Culkin, “A Real Pain“The quick-talking “Succession” star is sublime as a charismatic cousin
