Strong winds over 70mph exacerbated by Hurricane Ian set to batter Britain today

Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds and rain, thanks to the effects of Hurricane Ian.Powerful gusts of up to 75mph could create hazardous driving conditions as well as have the potential to delay public transport today (September 30).Nearly all parts of the UK will experience forms of heavy rain throughout the day with the Met Office stating the tropical jet stream as the cause for today's torrential weather conditions.
