Sunday will continue heavy snow over a portion of the southern Plains with heavy rain and thunderstorms further East into Monday,” the National Weather Service tweeted late Saturday. “A Pacific cold front will sweep into the Northwest Sunday with more rain and mountain snow.” A potential winter storm is also expected to hit parts of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast later in the week.
