UK airport as Storm Malik battered his plane in terrifying footage. In the two minute-long clip, the aircraft can be seen being jolted as it battles the Storm Malik gales at Manchester Airport.Wind speeds reportedly reached up to 70mph on Saturday in Manchester during the peak of Storm Malik, with another storm - Storm Corrie - set to impact millions of Brits into next week, reports Manchester Evening News.

The incredible footage was captured by an aviation enthusiast who uploaded the video to YouTube, and shows the holiday jet - a Jet2 Boeing 737 - on its final approach to the airport yesterday afternoon.

It captures the plane being buffeted in the air in the crosswind gales, pushed from side to side with its landing gear fully engaged above the airport's runway ahead of an anticipated landing. The pilot, skilfully, manages to touch down two wheels, but quickly takes off again. The aircraft - believed to be a flight from Malaga in Spain - was reportedly forced to divert to East Midlands Airport after a second failed attempt to land at Manchester following the 'go around', a common manoeuvre. It's a standard landing procedure where pilots take the plane around for another go at approaching the runway.Pilots are often forced to use the procedure if they experience a late, sudden gust of wind, which conditions such as Saturday's appeared to bring.AviationUpclose - who posted the clip to Twitter - wrote: "Windshear go around followed by a heavy bounced touch and go for this Jet2 737 at Manchester Airport during Storm Malik."The aircraft diverted to East Midlands."Met Office weather warnings across Scotland and much of northern England remain in place until Monday, as it stands.
