Met Office has been forced to issue weather warnings as Brits brace for Storm Corrie, having just been battered by Storm Malik's gale force winds.

Storm Malik has already left thousands of people without power this weekend, and tragically led to the deaths of two people - a 60-year-old woman and a nine-year-old boy both crushed by trees.

With another storm coming, Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned in a statement that Corrie "may be more severe for parts of Scotland".

The first of the two Met Office warnings is a yellow-level alert for wind, covering all of Scotland and parts of northern England, spanning from 3pm today to 12 noon tomorrow.
