British Airways plane swaying violently over a runway as Storm Corrie brought winds of up to 90mph to the UK on Sunday. In the clip, filmed by aviation enthusiasts at London Heathrow on January 30, the A321neo flying in from Aberdeen is making what looks like a smooth approach.A split second after touchdown, the plane appears to be lifted by a gust of wind and veers dramatically to the left. The pilot corrects the angle and the tail of the plane comes almost slamming down onto the tarmac before lifting back up into the air. After the aborted landing, the pilot made a second landing attempt that was a success.Jerry from Big Jet TV who filmed the incident said the British Airways pilot "deserves a medal".The video was watched more than 100,000 times on his YouTube channel and viewers were astounded by the skillful maneuvers. One fan said: "Just shows how the wind can suddenly bite even when it looks like the aircraft is making a smooth landing."Amazing that they were able to literally power out of it and get flying again."Someone else said: "Incredible catch.

Fantastic recovery by the pilots.""It's definitely a brown trouser moment for the passengers," a third person commented.A British Airways spokesperson said: "Our pilots are highly trained to manage a range of scenarios, including extreme weather conditions, and our flight crew landed the aircraft safely."Our customers and crew all disembarked as normal."This comes after a video showed a plane battling in the winds of Storm Malik just days before Corrie hit.Pilots were filmed making two attempts to land the plane at Manchester Airport and had to give up and divert to East Midlands after being unable to touchdown safely in the treacherous gusts..
