Plans are afoot to mark 75 years since World War Two ended in Europe – but not everyone is impressed with what's in store. Brits are being urged to hold 'Stay at Home VE Day parties' in their front gardens to celebrate the landmark on Friday – complete with afternoon tea and Union Jacks.
The government is encouraging people to show their patriotism by covering the outside of their homes with red, blue and white bunting - with an online toolkit now available to help.
But with the country in lockdown and facing its biggest crisis since the end of the war, and tens of millions of us told we have to stay at home, it's not been met with huge enthusiasm by all.
