thousands of pounds, despite being told that their booking had been cancelled, after a company went bust. Simon Jones and his 13 mates were left £3,486 out of pocket after booking a trip to Newquay with Stoke-based Stag and Hen City.
They had all paid £169 for accommodation and drinks ahead of the June 3 do, but were told last month by the company that it had been cancelled.
Two days later Stag and Hen City ceased trading and the lads still haven't been repaid. Simon, 39, and his pals have been forced to pay an extra £80 on top of the original cost to re-book their accommodation, reports StokeonTrentLive.
Simon will be marrying his partner Jenna Roberts in July. He explained: "I came across Stag and Hen City in 2019. They seemed to have good reviews at the time and I thought it would be a good idea to book a package; it seemed like a good price."On April 25, I had an email from Stag and Hen City to say the booking had been cancelled.
