Liverpool fans targeted by tear gas before the Champions League final.Thousands of supporters were stuck outside the Stade de France in the build-up to kick-off in Paris, with the game delayed by more than 30 minutes as a result of the worrying scenes.
Police used tear gas on some sections of the crowd, with people of all ages impacted including those in attendance with their families.Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg revealed the brother of Liverpool centre-back Joel Matip, Marvin, was one of those impacted, along with his pregnant wife.
They had to seek refuge in a nearby restaurant.Marvin told him: "The organisation around and in the stadium is unworthy of a Champions League final.
Using tear gas in areas with children and uninvolved fans is dangerous."ESPN's Mark Ogden was an eye-witness to the scenes and posted a video of the tear gas being used.
