Brighton post-punk band Squid have signed to Warp and shared their first single of the year. “Sludge” is the group’s inaugural release on the revered indie label.
Listen to the new track below, and scroll down to find the single art and Squid’s planned tour dates. “Sludge,” which is produced by Dan Carey, was originally conceived during a soundcheck while Squid were opening for Wire, according to a press release.
Last year, Squid dropped their four-song Town Centre EP. They’ve also released a string of records in the past few years, including the band’s 2016 debut single “Perfect Teeth” and their 2017 EP Lino.
