David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

Sir Mo Farah admits he was glad and relieved when the Tokyo 2020 Olympics were postponed. Olympic organisers along with the International Olympic Committee bowed to public pressure last week and postponed the Games until next summer due to the coronavirus crisis.

The decision was welcomed by most athletes, who had been left unable to train properly due to all facilities being closed because of the pandemic.

It remains to be seen how competitors are affected by the postponement. Some will have to reschedule their training programmes when possible, while others will suffer the heartbreak of now not being able to take part in 12 months time.
