The youngest of four children, she believes she owes her success partly to her supportive parents. Since that audition, in 2012, Henderson, now 24, has sold more than a million copies of her single Ghost in the UK and been nominated for two Brits and a BBC Music Award – despite taking five years off from releasing solo material ‘To Grow’.Last year her EP Glorious marked a new chapter.
Getting to this stage included writing around 350 songs. ‘I’m always writing, including songs that are never going to be heard,’ she says, adding that it always comes.
