Floral tributes have been left at the school where a six-year-old girl was hit and killed by a falling tree. Ella Henderson was taken to hospital following the incident on Friday but died on Saturday morning.
Her heartbroken mother Vikki has already raised over £30,000 for the air ambulance charity who tried to save her. Emergency services were called to Gosforth Park First School near Newcastle upon Tyne following the accident.
Paramedics took the schoolgirl to the Royal Victoria Infirmary by road with an air ambulance doctor on board, but despite their efforts she died the next morning.
Vikki - who is married to Ella’s dad Neil, with the couple sharing another daughter, Abi - is thought to have been celebrating her 40th birthday weekend.
