Prince Harry's expected Oscars appearance alongside his wife Meghan Markle has ruffled the feathers of royal fans and commentators alike, who have labelled the Duke "selfish" and a "hypocrite".The criticism comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex pulled out of going to Harry's grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service due to security fears.The Duke wanted to fly his family over from their California home for the occasion, but now believes it is too dangerous to do so after the Home Office refused to give him police protection, despite Harry's offer to pay for the protection himself.The Oscars, now in its 94th year, will be presented by Amy Schumer and will take place on March 27, in Los Angeles, just two days before his grandfather's service will take place in Westminster Abbey.
While their appearance is yet to be confirmed, it is believed Harry and Meghan will hand out the Best Picture award, reports the Daily Mail, and the pair's involvement in the award ceremony has angered fans.
