Sean Ono Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has spoken about the importance of his father’s music, and his parents’ relationship – see what Sean had to say below.Sean Lennon spoke to The Times about the recent ‘Ultimate Mix’ release of his father’s fourth solo album ‘Mind Games’, which was shared earlier this month.
The album was released with several different mixes, culminating with the ‘Ultimate Mix’.Speaking to The Times, Lennon explained that the numerous mixes served as a way for his father’s solo music outside of The Beatles to continue getting the “attention” it deserves: “One thing that distinguishes my dad’s solo career is how personal his lyrics became.
It is like a diary, and it is my duty to bring attention to my father’s music. Not just my duty to him, but a duty to the world.”Sean Ono continued: “With the world as it is now, people have forgotten so many things that I never imagined could be forgotten.
I refuse to let that happen to this music — it means too much to me.”His comments come less than a month after a new music video for John’s ‘Aisumasen (I’m Sorry)’ featuring intimate home video footage shot by the musician himself was released.
