Zack Sharf Digital News Director Harrison Ford is confirmed to hulk out in next year’s Marvel tentpole “Captain America: Brave New World,” where he will be making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
The character, originally played in the MCU by the late William Hurt, is now the president of the United States. Footage that premiered at Comic-Con also confirmed Ford would be transforming into the Red Hulk during the movie, which required a bit of motion-capture acting from the screen icon.
Speaking to Variety‘s Angelique Jackson on the Marvel press line at Comic-Con, Ford wisecracked about the motion capture process required to turn him into the Red Hulk by saying: “What did it take?
It took not caring. It took being an idiot for money, which I’ve done before.” “I don’t mean to disparage it,” Ford added on a more serious note. “I’m just saying you have to do certain things that normally your mother would not want you to do — or your acting coach, if you had one.
