Scottish road users whose driving licence is due to expire before the end of the year will be granted an automatic 11-month extension.
Photocard driving licences expiring between February 1 and December 31, 2020 will be given the extension under temporary changes offered by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
Drivers do not need to apply to renew their licence until they receive a reminder from the DVLA before their extension expires.
DVLA Chief Executive, Julie Lennard said the changes will ensure motorists do not need to worry about paying any “admin or associated costs”.
