weather warning affecting most of the west of Scotland has been announced by the Met Office. Snow and ice is expected to cause travel disruption today as scattered snow showers batter the region.The warning is in place from Saturday until 11am on Sunday.People are being warned to look out for icy patched on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.With roads and railways likely to be affected, longer journey tines are also expected.

The scattered sleet and snow showers will continue on and off during the day and overnight into Sunday.
