The victim, from Paisley, Renfrewshire, was sold a four-month old Collie on January 26. After receiving the pooch, its new owner was concerned for its health and raced to the local veterinary surgery.Vets confirmed that the puppy was 'in extremely poor health'.It later transpired that the documents used to sell the dog were fake.Officers are warning Scots to be vigilant as the number of people buying pets has surged amid the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.Anyone with information regarding stolen Collie puppies are urged to come.
