Queen for conning his stepson out of his inheritance fund. The former officer was jailed for defrauding nearly £60,000 from his stepson's inheritance fund.Iain Shepherd, of Bognor Regis, West Sussex had been awarded the MBE in 2015 for services to European maritime strategy.

But in July last year, the retired lieutenant commander was sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court to three years and eight months in prison.

He faked his wife's signature to set up a secret bank account to siphon £58,895 from the inheritance fund of his stepson Joshua Powell.The Falklands veteran was ordered to pay almost a third of the sum, just £19,497.The Queen has cancelled the MBE and ordered for his name to be erased from the register.
