Prince Harry has been slammed by royal fans for his latest publicity stunt in which he donned a bright orange hat, sun glasses and shirt. The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex released the clip to promote the upcoming Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded members of the armed forces. It shows him mastering phrases in Dutch before ripping off his hoodie to expose the colourful outfit and point to the camera to say he is ready for the games. But his followers took to Twitter to criticise the prince and one user posted: “Is Harry plugging Fanta Orange now?“You can tell his wife is directing him as it just reeks of complete tackiness!
The devaluing continues.” Another disgruntled fan claimed Meghan Markle was “setting him up for the fall” and “humiliating him”.
A third person joked: “Just a matter of time before they are the new Kardashians” whilst another simply wrote: “He has really lost the plot.”The clip attracted more criticism as it was released just hours after the announcement that he wouldn’t travel to the UK for Prince Philip’s thanksgiving service this month.Prince Harry said he didn’t feel safe travelling back to the UK because his private security team doesn’t have access to the intelligence needed to protect him.
He offered to pay for assistance from the cops to avoid it coming out of the taxpayers' pocket but was told “the police are not for sale”.But despite the mocking reaction from some, others swooned over Harry’s style in the video. One fan cooed: “I love sweatpants on a well-built man.Stay in the loop with all the latest royal news from the Daily Star by signing up to one of our free newsletters here."The fitted tee-shirt was the icing on the cake.
