Get the latest top news stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletterStirling will again be the location for a big rock concert next summer.Thousands of fans are expected to pour into the city for Glasgow band Texas on Friday August 19.Stirling Council are expecting the event, against the backdrop of Stirling Castle, to provide a significant economic boost for city businesses.It follows Runrig’s successful farewell gigs in August 2018 when more than 50,000 attended over two nights at Stirling’s City Park, formerly known as Falleninch field.Estimates put the benefit of those shows to the city economy at £7m.The Texas show, entitled ‘Big Top - Under Canvas’ will see the band, fronted by Sharleen Spiteri, perform in a big top.
