Mum dies two days after miscarriage following 'gross failure' by hospital

A devastated family have paid tribute to a 'loving' young mum who passed away from sepsis just two days after the loss of her unborn baby.Lorette Divers, from Sheffield, was given the heartbreaking news that she suffered a miscarriage during a medical appointment on November 18, 2020.The 30-year-old tragically died just 48 hours later at Royal Hallamshire Hospital.Speaking of her daughter, Lorette's mum Maxine Nicholson said: "Lorette was the most loving and caring mum and daughter anyone could have wished for."We were overjoyed when we found out she was expecting again and it’s almost impossible to comprehend the events that unfolded afterwards.“While time has moved on since her death, it has stood still for our family because of the many concerns we had about what happened to Lorette."The young mum-of two sons was admitted into hospital on the morning of November 20 after suffering from pain and vomiting the night before.While Lorette reported feeling comfortable during the afternoon, she shortly after became unresponsive.She was rushed to theatre where CPR was performed for 45 minutes, but she was sadly pronounced deceased at 6.07pm.An inquest into Lorette's death at Sheffield Coroner's Court today concluded she died of natural causes, despite a solicitor representing her family urging the coroner to rule there had been medical negligence in her death.Her mum continued: "The inquest and hearing the circumstances as to why Lorette died has been incredibly distressing but it was something we needed to do to honour her memory.“That Lorette is no longer in all of our lives, but particularly her children’s lives, is heartbreaking."How do you tell two young children that their mum has gone and won’t be coming back?"The pain
