A man was left seriously injured after violence broke out at a pub in Tameside. Officers investigating the alleged assault have now issued images of a man they would like to speak to.
It happened at an unnamed pub on Stockport Road in Ashton-under-Lyne on the evening of Saturday, February 26. "t's believed a fight started inside the pub before spilling out onto the road" Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
A 51 year-old man was left with serious injuries they added. In an update issued today, officers from GMP's Tameside South and West neighbourhood policing team said a "number of lines of enquiry have been followed up since the incident." Officers stress the investigation is ongoing and have today issued two images of a man they would like to speak to. Anyone who recognises him or may have information that may be able to help officers is being urged to contact them immediately.
