Residents living in a block of flats said to be a fire risk face being made homeless. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has served a prohibition notice on Old School Court in Blackley, north Manchester.
It's legally binding and will come into force at 1pm on Monday (November 1). The notice says the premises 'must not be used for residential purposes' until the 'matters specified have been remediated', with the service describing the order as ‘a measure of last resort when all other options have been considered’.
