Residents were evacuated from their homes amid an investigation into a car explosion outside Liverpool Women's Hospital. Armed police were at the scene on Rutland Avenue on Sunday afternoon and into the early hours of Monday, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Several residents were asked to leave their homes with a number being spotted carrying luggage on Sunday night. Greater Manchester Police said the operation is part of the ongoing investigation, led by counter terror police, into the car explosion outside the city's Women's hospital on Sunday morning.
