Dad told he has just months to live after what he thought was stomach bug turns out to be cancer

A dad who visited his GP with what he thought was a stomach bug was given the devastating news he has cancer, and may only have months to live.

Jonathan Silcock made a doctors appointment in February after he started losing weight and vomiting after eating. After an endoscopy and biopsy, the 37-year-old was told he was actually suffering from stage four pancreatic cancer, Manchester Evening News reports.

Now, the dad-of-one is spending what precious time he has left making memories with new wife Chelsea and four-year-old daughter Rosaleah.

He told Manchester Evening News: "I had been losing weight and feeling really unwell. Every time I would eat a meal, I would be sick,"I went to the doctors who referred me to the hospital in February
