Rangers and Celtic could be allowed to play in front of 5,000 fans, if they are invited to to join Lyon’s pre-season friendly tournament as expected.

Lyon are organising the pre-season tournament to get the squad up to speed ahead of returning to Champions’ League action in August.The four-team tournament will take place at their Groupama Stadium and is expected to include Scottish Premiership champions Celtic and runners-up Rangers, who are in advanced talks to join the initiative.Lyon finished seventh in Ligue 1, which was cancelled after 28 games due to coronavirus, with Paris St-Germain declared champions.But with the spread of the deadly COVID-19 disease more under control than previously, the club are hoping for 5,000 fans to be able.
