My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has shared brand new music concealed within his new range of custom guitar pedals.Earlier this week Shields announced a new Shields Blender fuzz pedal with Fender – and fans have now discovered a secret treat within them.As revealed by a fan on forum The Gear Page, once the pedal was opened, a flash drive containing a new song was inside alongside a message from Shields.“For intended effect, please play at 80 dB and above on speakers,” the message reads.The song hasn’t yet been shared online.Discussing his new pedal, Shields said: “I really enjoyed the experience. I’ve been using it a lot recently in the studio, it’s been great, I’m looking forward to hearing how other people use it.“It’s kind of pretty extreme but also very interesting when it’s set up in a subtle way.”Last year My Bloody Valentine criticised Spotify for showing incorrect lyrics on the shoegaze pioneers’ songs on the platform.“Just noticed that Spotify has put fake lyrics up for our songs without our knowledge.

My Bloody Valentine are among a number of artists set to curate special shows on NTS Radio this month.The lauded station is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and have invited a host of artists to host their own shows to mark the occasion.From Monday, April 19 to Friday, April 23, ten artists will contribute “guest radio shows, soundscapes, conversations and performances” to a weeklong charity broadcast, which is raising money for the Global Foodbanking Network.It comes after the station raised money for the organisation last year through their ‘Remote Utopias’ 24-hour livestream event, which featured Tame Impala, Erykah Badu, Jorja Smith and a slew of other artists.Joining My Bloody Valentine for NTS 10 will be Arca, The Simpsons creator

My Bloody Valentine have revealed that they are working on two new albums after signing with Domino Records.The indie group’s back catalogue was finally made available to listen to via streaming services today (March 31) under the new record deal, which will also bring new physical editions of their past three records as well as EP material.During a new interview with The New York Times, MBV’s Kevin Shields said the band were currently at work on two new studio efforts for Domino.

My Bloody Valentine have signed with Domino Records, which has finally released the group’s entire official catalogue to streaming services.The band will also release new physical editions of each release on May 21, with 1988’s ‘Isn’t Anything’ and 1991’s’ Loveless’ being mastered fully from analog for deluxe LPs and also mastered from new hi-res uncompressed digital sources for standard LPs.It marks the first time ever that each record has been made widely available, with fans also able to take in fully analog cuts of 2013’s ‘m b v’ on deluxe and standard LPs.
