Queen won't appear in public 'for months' in longest absence of her reign so far

At 94 years of age, Her Majesty The Queen still maintains a full schedule of engagements. But this year, the coronavirus pandemic has already led to the cancellation of several of the biggest events in the royal calendar – including The Trooping of the Colour, the Order of the Garter Service and Her Majesty’s hugely popular garden parties.

And a planned state visit from South Africa is also now likely to be cancelled, making this Spring the longest break that the Queen has had from official duties in her 68-year reign.
