Russia's missing defence minister is fighting for his life after reportedly suffering from a "massive" heart attack. Sergei Shoigu, 66, is thought to be in intensive care and his debilitating condition is not from natural causes, according to one of Vladimir Putin's enemies.
Russian businessman Leonid Nevzlin, 62, claims that the defence minister is "out of the game" and could be "disabled if he survives".He went on to say that that he is relying on devices to help him pull through as he let slip of the rumours on Facebook.Nevzlin further alleged that 20 defence ministry generals have been detained in a growing £7.6billion "corruption" case that saw the arrest of 150 Federal Security Service (FSB) officers. The exiled former co-owner of oil giant Yukos attributed the extraordinary claims to his unspecified sources in Moscow.
It has not been independently confirmed. One theory could be that potential coup-plotters are being locked up or otherwise incapacitated, reports The Mirror.
Mr Nevzlin alleged on Facebook : “Shoigu is out of the game, he may become disabled if he survives.“He suddenly had a massive heart attack.
