Prince William and Prince Harry are "sick to the back teeth" of Prince Charles' attempts to make Camilla the Queen Consort. On Saturday (February 5), The Queen expressed her "sincere wish" that the Duchess of Cornwall be known as Queen Consort when Charles is crowned king.Speculation has surrounded the role for years and it has been uncertain what Camilla's official title would be following her husband's coronation.
And the debate has sometimes been a fractious one with Royal author Robert Lacey claiming in December that Prince William and Prince Harry got "sick" of their father as he advocated for Camilla.Speaking to Newsweek, Mr Lacey said: "Privately I discovered both brothers are absolutely sick to the back teeth of Charles trying to negotiate full Queen status for Camilla."The website also quoted a YouGov poll that showed only 13 percent of people in the UK would want Camilla to be Queen Consort.
Following the Queen's statement, Prince Charles said: "On this historic day, my wife and I join you all in congratulating Her Majesty the Queen on the remarkable achievement of serving this nation, the Realms and Commonwealth for 70 years."The Queen's devotion to the welfare of all her people inspires still greater admiration with each passing year.
