A doctor has said that it would be a “sensible precaution” for players to wear face masks during matches and training. The Premier League has been postponed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic with a return not likely before the second half of May at the earliest.
Premier League chiefs are eager for the season to be completed though insist action will only return when it is safe to do so.
