Premier League clubs may push to change rules to allow five substitutions if they are forced to cram all of their remaining games in to finish the season.
Clubs face a race to complete the campaign before it gets deemed null and void amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Most recent discussions have led to an idea about squeezing the rest of the games into June under quarantine and behind closed doors.
This would not be ideal for any of the 20 Premier League teams but could be necessary in order to make sure the season is recorded in the history books.
