A pregnant woman sacked after just one week in her new job because she had taken two days off with severe morning sickness has been awarded a £23,000 payout.

Kendal Wright was fired from her job as an administrator at Manchester-based legal firm Gowing Law Solicitors after taking sick leave twice for hyperemesis gravidarum.
