Police seize Honda that was 'driven at officers'

They say the vehicle, a grey Honda, had failed to stop for patrols earlier this week. Late on Tuesday night, police said they were able to prevent the car from making off - but said its driver abandoned their passenger and fled from officers on foot.

The passenger was detained and enquiries are ongoing, said GMP. Officers seized the Honda on Chorley New Road. Shortly before midnight, the Greater Manchester Police Traffic team tweeted "Honda had previously failed to stop for patrols earlier this week when it was driven at officers.
