Mr Fagon was a celebrated member of the Windrush Generation, coming to England as an 18-year-old in 1955.Local reports claimed a man was seen tampering with the statue and seen 'rubbing something into the bronze'.The bust was erected in 1987, a year after Fagon's death, was dark in colour before being vandalised and left a light bronze and white shade.Now police are appealing for the public help in identifying a man seen appearing to 'clean' the bronze art work.In an update Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’ve released an image of a man we’d like to speak to as part of our investigation into an incident which led to damage to a statue of Alfred Fagon in St Paul’s, Bristol."We were made aware on Thursday 11.
