N-Dubz's Fazer dashes hopes of iconic music group reuniting until 'time is right'

exclusive chat with the Daily Star, rapper and producer Fazer, whose real name is Richard Rawson, reflected on his time with the band and that hotly anticipated reunion.He also admitted that he and bandmates, Tulisa and Dappy will turn down major record labels when they reunite and release music as NFTs.Despite disbanding in 2011, the group will be looking to explore more ways to connect with fans.He told Daily Star's WIRED column: "We never said that we would never get back together, we always said we would at some point - it's just about time."We never said it was off the cards we always said it's going to come back at some point."Right now there's a lot of sceptical stuff, but we will bring it back at some point."The 35-year-old went on to suggest that physical copies of music may be a thing of the past for him.He explained: "NFTs are the way forward for artists when it comes to piracy and getting paid, why would you ever sign to a record label?"Fazer reckons any future music he or N-Dubz releases as non-fungible tokens will benefit fans as much as the artists themselves.He added: "It's the way forward for artists because it deletes the whole thing of having a record label and it puts the consumers in a position to, theoretically speaking, become the record label."They're financing your careers, they’re financing your videos and everything and in return, they’ll hold stake holds in the percentages."Fazer, back with new single Tears, plans to release his next two solo songs as NFTs and is using Canadian rapper Tory Lanez as the blueprint.Fazer added: "Look at Tory Lanez recently, the song he released as the NFT made him the fastest artist in history to go platinum."He sold a million copies in less than 60 seconds, even.
