Police have issued dispersal orders for two area of Wigan following 'unacceptable' levels of anti-social behaviour. The orders, which will come into place in Lowton and Platt Bridge this afternoon (November 5), give constables and police community support officers the power to disperse crowds and prevent nuisance.
Officers have decided to take action in response to large groups of youths 'lighting fires, setting off fireworks, causing criminal damage and committing other offences' around the Braithwaite Road area.
