Rutherglen's PDSA shop issues urgent appeal for donations

A charity shop in Rutherglen has issued an urgent plea for donations of winter clothing and accessories it can sell to help sick and injured pets.

PDSA’s charity shop in the town's Main Street is on the hunt for unwanted jumpers, coats, gloves, hats, scarves, boots and other items to support the work of the nearby Tollcross PDSA Pet Hospital.

PDSA shop manager, Alex Blair told Lanarkshire Live: “Winter well and truly here and the cold weather is starting to bite so we’re in desperate need of winter stock that we can fill the rails with at this time of year.
