Marilyn Cazares Family Photo BRAWLEY – Homicide investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in the death of Marilyn Cazares, a 22-year-old Trans-Larinx woman found murdered in an abandoned building in this small Imperial Valley city just 45 minutes north of the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this week.
Cazares’s aunt described her as charismatic, brave, and outspoken. Cazares is the 22nd transgender or gender-nonconforming person killed this year in the United States.
