Police have recovered nearly half a million pounds worth of drugs during a raid in Edinburgh. Officers with a warrant swooped on a property in Sciennes, near the Meadows, at around 10.40am on Wednesday, October 6.

Drugs believed to be heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis were found with an estimated street value of £445,900. Three men - aged 19, 24 and 26 - have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.They were due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, October 7.Detective Inspector George Calder, based at Corstorphine, said: "Removing almost half a million pounds worth of drugs from our streets is a positive for the community and surrounding areas."Anyone who has any information about drug crime in their area
