Tiktok influencer and her mum, whom she once described as her "best friend" in a popular video, have both been charged with murder after a horrific car accident last week.

The two women are among five people due in court this week in connection with the fatal incident in which a Skoda Fabia was “run off the road”, leading to the deaths of its two occupants.Social media star Mahek Bukhari, 22, and her mother Ansreen, 45, were jointly charged with two counts of murder alongside a third woman, 21-year-old Natasha Akhtar, as well as Leicestershire men Raess Jamal, 21, and Rekan Karwan, 28,Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin and Saqib Hussain died at the scene after their silver Skoda Fabia split in two after it crashed during a chase which is alleged to have involved the defendants, Leicester Magistrates Court heard.Mohammed Zarandouz, prosecuting, said that a “high speed pursuit” began at a Sainsbury’s in Leicester in the early hours of Friday, February 11.

As the incident was unfolding, one of the victims called 999 to alert police."Unfortunately a loud scream could be heard from the caller and the call disconnected,’’ Mr Zarandouz added.
