A new flood group set up in a Highland Perthshire town is setting out to improve the living conditions of local residents.Pitlochry Flood Group launched in January and is being initially positioned as a sub-group of the Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council.The resilience team was created following a recent flood study carried out by Perth and Kinross Council’s housing and environmental services.Residents felt the survey calculations had resulted in several at-risk places in the town not being “properly evaluated”.The group is made up of dedicated local residents and businesses and was made possible by Highland Perthshire ward councillor Mike Williamson and Paul Laidlaw of Scottish Flood Forum (SFF).As part of the group’s partnership with
